T.A. Uner has been fascinated with the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre since way back in 1978, when as a youngster, he first watched in awe of Christopher Reeve’s Superman on the big screen.
He wrote his first story in 5th Grade, and bound it with construction paper. Little did he know that he wouldn't write another word for some eighteen years.
Upon graduating from George Mason University with a degree in Speech Communication & History, he began searching for a creative outlet. After his Father urged him to return to writing in 2003, he resumed his writing odyssey.
In 2017 he signed a two-book deal with KGHH Publishing where we hope his writing will go to that next level. Starting with Kill Zombies due out later this year.
Mr. Uner loves hearing from readers, and chances are you'll enjoy conversing with him. He's a Capricorn, loves Pizza, and is housebroken. He lives in Virginia, where the weather is as chaotic as his imagination.
1) His favorite animal is the Leopard.
2) Has three Nieces, currently ages 6, 3 and 5 months.
3) He loves watching Football and College Basketball.
4) When not writing, he enjoys traveling the world.
5) Favorite food is Pizza.
6) Wrote his first story when he was just 10 years old.
7) He loves Star Wars, Star Trek, and Transformers.
KG: What or who inspired you to be a writer?
TU: I was always a writer at heart but it wasn’t until my father told me to resume writing that I began in earnest to learn more about writing by tackling novels.
KG: What gave you the idea of your latest book?
TU: Well it’s the 3rd book in the 4 book Leopard King Saga series so I had outlined it many years before I even began writing it. I guess I wanted to combine my love of Ancient Roman history and fantasy, along with my favourite animal, the Leopard.
KG: Who is your favourite writer and why?
TU: I don’t really have a “favorite writer” per say. But there have been many writers whom had had a tremendous influence on my writing.
KG: What's your favourite book?
TU: King Rat, by James Clavell.
KG: Do you read a lot? If so what are you reading right now?
TU: Of course. The only way a writer can get better is by reading all the time. I am currently reading “Morning Son” by Pierce Brown.
KG: What writing projects are you working on at the moment?
TU: Currently writing, The Leopard Apocalypse, the 3rd book in my Leopard King Saga series.
KG: Where do you see yourself and your writing in five years time?
TU: Hopefully to have built a large readership, and to have completed writing my Leopard King Saga series.
KG: What do you like most about writing?
TU: The fact that I create life on paper for others to enjoy.
KG: What one writing tip would you share?
TU: Always read different kinds of books, mainly classics, that’s how you’ll advance your writing skills.
KG: What would you say to educate and inspire young writers?
TU: Two words: Never. Quit.
