James grew up in Stratford, East London and, for his sins, or by the ‘Grace of God’ as he describes it, is a devout West Ham United supporter.
James attended St Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic school in Forest Gate and counts himself fortunate, to have had the pre-knighted Sir Michael Wilshaw as his Headmaster. After being thrown out of O’ level literature for refusing to read Great Expectations, James readily admits that he’d probably have sat even fewer exams if it wasn’t for his ‘Legend of a Headmaster’, who constantly put his students’ needs before anything else.
James took up writing from an early age. He’s always wanted to redefine the Werewolf myth, to push the parameters of what it is to be a Werewolf but not destroying it with the proverbal ‘silver bullet!’. Werewolves are his favourite mythological beast and with his first book ‘Pack – The Three Moons’, the first of a trilogy, he has fashioned a new sub-genre ‘Dysturban Fantasy.’
James is also working on an idea for a dark Sci-Fi novel, which he assures us is unlike anything that has gone before.
James comes from a modest working-class background and is proud of it. Although he believes that what he never had in material trappings, evened itself out by having two great sisters, the most beautifully natured mother and the most protective and loving father. James credits any good qualities of his own to them.
James hopes one day his own children will be as proud of him for his creative efforts as well as his parenting.
There’s werewolf stories and then there’s ‘Pack – The Three Moons.’
PACK is more of a way of life. A great adventure, an adrenaline rush from start to finish.
Not your pretty, teen heart throb movie werewolves. A story that will tear at you tooth and claw.
Who will lead and take on the PACK?
Pack – The Three Moons, is the first of a trilogy by author James B. Peartree. Where James has fashioned a new sub-genre he calls ‘Dysturban Fantasy.’
